The Bahamas has a national campaign to phase out single-use plastics such as plastic bags, straws, food utensils and styrofoam containers. In 2020, The Bahamas Plastic Movement estimated that plastic pollution could cause The Bahamas up to $8.5 million in tourism losses annually. I think we could still use more enforcement and education around the issue.
