As essential items like vehicles aren’t manufactured in small island nations, we are often dependent on the importation of the same. However, bigger issues arise when vehicles reach their end of life cycle and become fixtures in derelict vehicle junkyards and dump sites. These become eyesores for communities, negatively impact water tables, harbour vermin and become a nightmare for city planning entities.
Vehicles are easily procured and often receive tax breaks when they are eco friendly. Are there transboundary concessions (tax, permitting, etc) where you live that allow safe and sustainable disposal of vehicles?
